It seemed likely that the Cavaliers would sign someone to a 10 day contract following Mychal Thompson’s release.

The Cavs signed Ben Uzoh to a 10 day contract.  Never heard of him?  Many haven’t.  Uzoh was a four year player for Tulsa and played for the New Jersey Nets for the 2010-2011 season.  Most recently he played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA D league.

He is a point guard and has been brought in due to the injury of Kyrie Irving.  No one really knows how he will play.  But he will defiantly have a chance to prove himself in these 10 days.  I have to admit I’m surprised that Manny Harris was not brought in the from the D League.  I worry that another team will come in and take him before the Cavs get a chance.  I hope the Cavs know what they are doing.  But then they are the professionals.
