There are a lot of criticisms Baron Davis can take. But, one of the more apparent characteristics he has brought to the table in Cleveland is a voice. It has to be said that when LeBron James left, there was no one to physically or verbally commanding the ship. Everyone was loosely guided in different directions. Now that Antwan Jamison has a partner in crime in this instance, the Cavaliers can begin to roll through their revamp.
First order of business will be how to attack the lockout facing them in the 2011 season and Davis already has a handle on things in the Cleveland camp.
There will be the establishment of a workout for the team and in Davis’ eyes it will show who on the team is really dedicated to next season’s success. It will remain secret, much like the workout structured by the Carolina Panthers, coincidently the worst team in the NFL with the number one draft pick. The pressures of a workout with cameras are just not something in the cards for groups that hope to repair heavy metal damage from their past season. Hopefully, the workouts will bring the players closer together and allow them to look at themselves with a wider scope as to what the problem is and exactly what needs to be done to fix it.
